The Star Lyric Theatre opened on 4 November 1911, in the Fitzroy neighborhood of Melbourne.

The building has been converted into a large retail space, and is now the location of Dogs Breakfast Trading Company. Some vestiges of the theatre decorations can be seen inside near the large steel-trussed arched roof of the building.
